It is with great pride & enthusiasm that I extend a very warm and hearty welcome to you all! 2009 marks the PMA’s 50th anniversary and this year’s conference promises to be a truly festive celebration of our golden jubilee!

For starters, the conference venue is one to which we have never been before! The Arabella is regarded as the Western Cape’s premier resort facility with golf course rated No. 2 in South Africa!

The conference content also promises to provide delegates with interesting topics which will be presented by a host of internationally acclaimed guest speakers. Already confirmed as master of ceremonies is 567 Cape Talk Radio’s morning show host, Aden Thomas. Former Springbok captain Corné Krige will give an interesting insight into Springbok rugby and his tenure as captain of the 2003 World Cup Springboks. A historical overview of the past 50 years of the PMA’s existence will also be presented – complete with a collage of photographs depicting many of the doyens of our industry in their most embarrassing moments!

Of course all PMA conferences are remembered for the superb food & great festivities and we have lined up some of the finest venues for the evenings’ dinners & entertainment. The gala banquet will bring a fitting close to a congress that will be sure to live on in your memories for another 50 years!

A hearty welcome to The Professional Movers Association’s 50th Anniversary Congress.

There are very few associations that can say that they have been serving their members and customers for 50 years. As one of the few self regulating transport industries The PMA stands out as an association striving for quality and professionalism in the furniture removals industry.

We are delighted to have The Western Cape as our 50th celebration destination for 2009. This would ultimately be the conference you should attend in 2009.

As President of The PMA I hope to see a record amount of attendees at Arabella Estate. This amazing venue promises our members an action filled congress of note.
